The Mussel Monger & Oyster Bar (Mojo Market)

The oysters were very fresh and delicious. Since it’s close to the ocean and located in a lively, stylish food court, you can casually enjoy oysters and wine there.

In visiting Cape Town this oyster spot is one that I've tried twice during my week-long visit. I had the taste for oysters and this place did not disappoint. They shook the oysters right in front of you and all of them are fresh. Now I must admit that in ordering them they are not prepared the way I would prepare them back in the United States, with horseradish or Rockefeller. However they top theirs with a sweet and tangy onion vinaigrette with a lime. They were very affordable and very delicious. I think these are some of the best tasting oysters I've ever had. They're nice and Briny and just a touch of sweetness. I also tried the oyster shooter which is a fresh oyster mixed with gin. Also very incredible I highly recommend this spot if you're in the Cape Town seapoint area

Located in the coolest food hall in the world Mojo Market! Everything about this place is wonderful! The staff, cooks, and atmosphere! Live music right in front of you to enjoy! Yes! If you love fresh oysters, mussels and wine dine in!

They serve some of the tastiest oysters and mussels in the whole city. Oysters and mussels are both fresh and prepared on demand. Notable that they are really well priced for the quality they serve. You can pay a lot more around the city yet not get the exceptional flavor and freshness delivered here.

Best mussel monger experience ever. They were under staffed, but delivered quickly with a smile. Special thanks to Dee for the amazing service. We had mussels, oysters, wine for 2 for under R350. Fantastic. Thankyou

We came for the oysters (which were great and fresh) but also stayed for the wine and mussels. Cool vibe and nice to see the food cooked fresh in front of you. Will be back again!

We absolutely love the Mussel Monger & Oyster Bar and always make a point of taking our foreign friends here to experience it. The oysters are incredibly fresh and delicious, perfectly paired with their champagne. The mussels are another highlight, served in a generous portion with the most flavorful garlic and onion-style sauce, accompanied by fresh mini vetkoek to soak up every drop. The only downside is that the Mojo Market can be quite loud, which is out of their control, and at times it can be difficult to get the attention of the staff. Despite that, the food and atmosphere make it well worth the visit!

Oysters were on point. Absolutely delicious. Ordered the large oysters (multiple of 6). Came with pickled onions and all the tabasco you need. Located inside Mojo Market.
